HC - Health Care

A healthy future can be achieved only by assuring the health and wellbeing of the population. As a responsible collective, we give core importance to health care activities. We have primarily and subsidiarily taken part in various outreach activities in supporting and providing welfare and ensuring justice in health care. Through our participation in health care, we intend to provide and promote primary and essential healthcare to the people in need. Blood donation campaigns and areas in health care such as curative care, preventive health care are given much importance.

RUF delivered the medication and diapers required for 3 months to a 7 year old girl child in Trivandrum and is diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

The ignorant and unhealthy medical understanding of the condition has created stigma and social isolation of the people affected with HIV. RUF conducted a campaign for a 6-year-old child, affected with HIV and could contribute towards building her a home.

During the Kerala floods of 2019 there was an active collection point at CUSAT, where vegetables and other necessary supplies were handed over. As part of which the team visited a community of elders at Thol junction in Edapally. The medicines supplied were OTC emergency medicines.

RUF initiated a fund collection to support and financially assist the treatment of a higher secondary student whose both kidneys were in failure.

RUF has always risen in times of need. India was one of the worst-hit countries by the pandemic and we couldn't watch as our country's people died due to lack of oxygen. We rested all our ongoing activities and joined hands to help save the lives of our fellow mates on a covid war room basis. With the support of our major donors, we were able to successfully help an economically challenged patient, in dire need of ventilator services, with the financial aid required to meet the treatment in Jharkhand. Also, we were able to arrange for an oxygen concentrator of 5L capacity for a patient in Malappuram Kerala. We were able to connect people to leads for medical assistance and we were able to create an Impact around 13 states and 3 Union Territories of India.
