Supporting Weaker and Specially-abled Individuals - SWaSIa
Supporting weaker and specially-abled individuals (SWaSIa) is our soul project. RUF aims to provide support and empower the underprivileged, and oppressed communities around us. We believe in the potential one can truly acquire when given opportunities to explore. SWaSIa provides assistance and support to specially-abled individuals by providing them for their needs. We believe it is our responsibility to uplift one another aiming towards a better world for us to live in.

An auto driver and her family consisting of her husband, and 3 children were in immense need of financial assistance to renovate their house. RUF helped them in renovating the kitchen. During the lockdown, we were able to provide them with a television through our TV Challenge for the uninterrupted education of children. Now with a roof above their heads and with proper education for their kids, the family is comfortably settled.

Support for Santhi
One of our team members, a young talent hailing from Chettikulangara, is diagnosed with whole-body paralysis due to Muscular Dystrophy from early childhood. Our team compiled and facilitated the sale of her CDs of devotional songs at the Chettikulangara Devi Temple Bharani festival. The Bharani festival at the temple is quite popular and a huge crowd gathers in celebration. RUF brought about 1000 CDs and set in a campaign where the volunteers met almost 3000 people introducing her CDs. A single evening of campaigning was enough to popularize her art among the crowd. After the successful campaign, all the proceeds from the sale were handed over to her.
